英文摘要 Anji County in Zhejiang Province is the place where President Xi Jinping first came up with the concept of lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. It is also the origin place of China Beautiful Village, a pioneer in green development, and renowned with the reputation of famous bamboo city in the world. The bamboo industry in Anji boasts a long history, and the integration development of primary, secondary and tertiary bamboo industries has been achieved based on the modern bamboo shoot and timber integrated processing system established since the reform and opening-up. The paper reviews systematically the development process of the bamboo industry in Anji from ancient through modern to contemporary time, and then proposes the enlightenment drawn from the bamboo industry development.
