英文摘要 There are nearly 70 species of bamboos planted in Guyi Garden, which is one of the most famous gardens in Shanghai. It can be called the model of bamboo landscaping in China. The paper analyzes the historical evolution and landscape pattern of Guyi Garden, and summarizes from the viewpoint of landscape elements the core essentials of bamboo landscaping as broadness view of garden, the charm of bamboo with surrounding water, the beauty of bamboo matching the stone, the secludedness of bamboo path and the elegance of bamboo framed building. The study of bamboo landscaping skills and the promotion of bamboo culture would provide helpful references for bamboo landscaping practices.
