People’s restorative perception of urban green space is closely related to their physical and mental health. On the basis of literature review of the relationship between the urban green space restoration and sensory perception, the paper expounds the concept of restorative perception and its classical theory. From the perspective of perception process, the restorative perception of green space is divided into three parts: subject, object and restorative experience. The commonly used research methods and related research results on restorative perception are systematically summarized, and its impact on urban green space restorative experience is analyzed. The purpose of this study is to clarify the mechanism of urban green space restorative perception process and provide theoretical basis, so as to achieve the harmonious unity of the whole perception and the part perception in the restorative design of urban green space.
