Parks in higher-density urban contexts play an important role in providing emotional services to residents. We hypothesize landscape enchantment as one effective mechanism to gain positive emotional effect. It functions by constructing a type of positive emotional resonance between people and landscape to make park users' thoughts and feelings transcend the immediate reality in front of them into broader emotional spaces. Through analysis of 631 intercept survey responses, the study explores the presence, characteristics, and positive impacts of landscape enchantment at Fishtail Ecological Park in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. The findings indicate that landscape enchantment is widely present among park users, with its characteristics correlated with age, cognitive activity, and the temporal aspects of thoughts. Further investigation into the presence of egrets as a stimulus for enchantment reveals extensive emotional responses, which has a strong positive correlation with positive psychological effects of the park and positive attitudes of people toward the environment. The results demonstrate the potential of landscape enchantment in emotional benefits creation in park environment. Landscape enhancement should be created and optimized on purpose in landscape design and management, with the aim to improve residents' psychological health and improve parks' comprehensive values.
