英文摘要 The current situation and the future for application of biotechnology to forest disease control are discussed.Cytological engineering has been used in screening disease-resistant tree clones and elucidating the mechanism of the disease-resistance.Great progress has been made in the crown gall-resistant popular breeding.Analyses of DNA restriction polymarphism and isozyme have beien introduced into studies of systematics, identification and pathogenic differentiation of the pathogens.Much basic research should be accomplished before the biotechnology is used in practical forest production.Now new advances have been repeatedly made in this sophiscated field, and new means for its population have been continually developed.Losing no time to master the new theory and techniques it is possible for us soon to catch up with the advanced world level.
