Fire is an important disturbing factor in most forest ecosystems.Forest burning set out a great deal of greenhouse gases and have a significant influence on gases and aerosol of the atmosphere.Forest fire and climate change become a hot research topic in fire research field. The paper reviews the researches of forest fire and climate change, which includes forecasting fire season and fire behavior change in future climate scenario and assessing influences of fire emissions on climate change and global carbon cycle.A number of researches shows that the climate change will cause a longer fire season and more extreme fire weather, which make more fire activities.Especially fires in boreal forest will increase significantly.A trend of the current research is to apply satellite remote sensing data and study on the influence of climate change on forest fire on the large scale. The fire model, general climate model and global vegetation dynamics model should be coupled together to discovery the relationship between forest fire and climate change.
