英文摘要 This paper summarized the achievements of research in ecology and its benefits of the coastal shelterbelts in the last ten years in the respects of the physiological and ecological characteristics of shelterbelts including respiration,evaporation,water content and their effects on tree growth and nutrient status.The structure composition regression equation of biomass,decomposition speed of litters and nutrient distribution of the shelterbelt systems were also discussed.Adaptability of trees to the environment,the effects of environment on forest growth,and the damage of natural disasters and pollution to the forest were analysed.The functions of pratection forest in soil and water conservation,climate regulating,soil improving etc.were discussed as well.
