英文摘要 The article discussed the current status of the application of computer techniques such as decision supporting system(DSS),artificial int ellig ence(AI),3S(RS,GIS,GPS),computer net works and soon in forestry in foreign countries.Its developmental trend was also predicted.In recent years,the application of computer techniques in forestry broadens increasingly.It makes management techniques and research methods of forestry changed greatly.Computers have become powerful means and necessary tools for forestry practice and scientific research no wadays.With the improvement of computer hardw are and software performance and development of the decision theories,all individualt echniques will be combined on the basis of being perfected and developt owards intelligence and integration.These will accelerate application of computer techniques
greatly in forestry in depth.
